THEORIES OF ARCHITECTURE DESIGN
Spatial geometry , proportion and organization have been central discourse in architecture for centuries, but their hierarchical relationships among them have varied. Architecture in the past, proportion and organization were stressed to design a building. In contemporary architecture, there are no fixed rules about design concepts. But there are still relations to geometric space concepts. Proportion and organization still plays as an important role in architecture today, but in a different approach.

Are proportion& organization necessary for human habitation & functioning? Yes. This is where building built in a balance. I think a proportionate building help enhance the visual of the building. A building with good organization will give a positive experience and feeling to its users.

Organization focus on spatial experiences. A simple and direct good organization improve the function of the building. This can be seen in one the in Farnsworth house, where proportion and geometry meets together to form a good architecture.

Tadao Ando. He naturally, is always planning for the perfect widths, heights, etc. Proportion is an element he does not leave to convention. Simple geometric forms have characterized his work over the past three decades. Ando creates spaces using walls which he defines as the most basic elements of architecture, but also the most enriching. Well design according the proportion and oganisation, a free plan , free facade ,flat roof, one main entrance. The fixed circulation was created using the walls. Building is proportional , sizes ratio between spaces are reasonable. Ando’s decision to place the cross on the east façade is proportioned.
Proportions as a visual effect, either symmetry or asymmetry. Throughout the modern history of architecture, architects have also been designing and realizing circular-based buildings. The golden section is not merely an aesthetic proportion important to artists, but an omnipresent cosmic principle that induces structural differentiation.

An extremely pure geometrical- a round skyscraper with a curved glass skin The development of the volume began by using one of the oldest rules in architecture: the rule of proportion based on the Golden Section. When applying the golden section ratio to the circular façade of the building, the circle was divided into a pentagram. Creating a aesthetic and mathematic balanced facade.

In nutshell, proportions and organization of a space can dramatically change how the users feel and the proportions of a facade design can affect whether a building appears welcoming threatening, or impressive. A good architecture should employ appropriate proportions and organizations for its functions and should fulfill structural requirements and provide aesthetically pleasing order.

‘Proportion’ is the term used to describe the relationship between two things of different size and scale of the various elements in a design based on mathematic calculation.Proportion refers to the proper and harmonious relation of one part to another or to the whole, while scale refers to the size of something compared to a reference standard or to the size of something else like a human being. On the other contrary, organization is a spatial arrangement to determine the connection or separation between similar or dissimilar uses of space. It helps to clarify aspects of use and establish similarity or contrast between spaces.
